Read her story
I spent the first decade of my career helping people plan for their financial futures. At the same time, I was learning just how quickly our plans can change when our health does.
I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in my twenties, eventually underwent a partial colectomy, and had to figure out how to care for myself while building a career, raising three children, and living a full life that didn’t revolve around my diagnosis. My experience taught me that health is rarely as simple as following the “right” diet or trying harder. It is shaped by our stress, sleep, energy, relationships, responsibilities, and the season of life we are navigating.
That realization led me away from financial advising and toward health and wellness coaching. Today, I’m a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Certified Health Strategist, and the founder of Best Whole Self. I help people step back from all the conflicting advice and understand what their own bodies and lives are asking for.
I believe taking care of yourself can feel supportive and freeing, rather than one more set of rules to follow. Sometimes nutrition is the place to begin. Other times, the real starting point is stress, sleep, movement, boundaries, or simply creating enough space to notice what you need.
As a woman in my forties, a wife, a mother of three, a business owner, and someone living with a chronic illness, I understand how easy it is for your own well-being to get buried beneath everything and everyone you care for. I also know that feeling better doesn’t require changing your entire life overnight. It often begins with one realistic choice that supports who you are now and where you want to go next.
At NxT, I’m here to help women build a more supportive relationship with food, their bodies, and their health, with kindness, flexibility, and plenty of room to be human.
Former financial advisor. Health coach. Crohn’s warrior. Mom of three. Practical optimist. Work in progress. Human.
Be your best,
